Jean Vaughn Favre, 62, of La Crosse died suddenly Friday, January 25th at
Mayo Clinic Health System, La Crosse. Jean was born in La Crosse on April
19, 1950. She was preceded in death by her parents Scotty and Genevieve Vaughn and loving husband and soul mate Peter Favre. She is survived by her children Bill (fiancé Katie), Scott, C.J., Tony, Mikey, Leslie, Gusty, and Joel (Mary); grandchildren Kilian, Sunny, Peter, Macie, Zach, and Jensine; Goddaughter Jackie; as well as countless close friends and family members, especially Ethel Funmaker and Adam Poellinger, who is known as her 7th son. She will be deeply missed by her dogs, Rufus and Max. She loved her children above anything else. A mother and friend
to everyone she came in contact with. Her famous Sunday dinners said it all. Anyone and everyone, from members of the UWL football team to old childhood friends were always welcome to attend.
A life long resident of La Crosse, she graduated from Aquinas High School
and also attended the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse and Viterbo. She was a permanent fixture in the bleachers at any sporting event and was a major supporter of Aquinas athletics. She was truly everyone\'s biggest fan.
Although she was a mother to everyone she was also dedicated to her career in real estate. She worked beside her best friend and someone who she called her sister, Cindy Gerke. She will be deeply missed by the entire
real estate community.
The family would like to thank everyone for the overwhelming support and love that they have received in the past few days. Jeani will be missed by all.
A funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, February 2, 2013, in Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, 130 Losey Blvd., So. La Crosse, Wis. Rev. David Olson will officiate. Family and friends may call from 10:00 AM until the time of Mass in Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church on Saturday with a Parish Rosary to be held at 10:15 AM. Family and friends may also call from 4:30 to 8:00 PM on Friday in the Msgr. Wagner Parish Center.
The Blaschke & Schneider Funeral Homes are assisting the family with arrangements.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred.
