Donna Jean Budnik, age 71, of La Crosse, died Friday, September 23, 2016 at Bethany St. Joseph Care Center, La Crosse, WI. She was born on April 25, 1945 to Erwin and Evelyn (Patridge) Kramer. On April 10, 1968 she married Larry Budnik in Chicago IL.

Donna Jean was very committed to the Church. She spent many hours reading the Bible, singing in the choir, and teaching Sunday school at First Assembly of God Church. She even collected angel statues. She loved playing cards, crafting, and spending time with her children and especially her grandchildren. For most of her life, Donna Jean was a CNA at nursing homes around La Crosse. One thing Donna Jean was always known for was collecting any pen she could find, and even at times talking people into giving her their pens.

She is survived by one daughter; Joan Budnik of West Salem, WI, one son; Todd (Malina) Budnik of Viroqua, WI, two grandchildren; Leah Budnik and Nishan Eno, her ex-husband Larry Budnik of Minocqua, WI, and her brother Danny (Meg) Kramer of Woodruff, WI. She is also survived by three nephews; Dennis (Kelly) Kramer of De Forest, WI, Dustin (Angie) Kramer of La Crosse, WI, and Charles Kramer of Onalaska, WI.

Donna Jean was preceded in death by her parents, her stepfather Harry Jungen, her sister Diane Kramer, and her nephew David Kramer.

A Visitation will be held from 5 to 7:00 PM, Friday, September 30, 2016 at Blaschke & Schneider Funeral Home, 1501 West Ave. South, La Crosse, WI. Burial will be held at a later date in Neshonoc Cemetery.

The family would like to extend a huge thank you to the caring staff at Bethany St. Joseph Care Center for everything they did for Donna Jean Budnik and her family.
