My sympathies to the entire family especially Maureen and Lyell. We were always friends. He was an expert witness for one of my cases concerning interpretation of an insurance contract and I learned then what a generous man he was.

So sorry for your loss. Jim and I collaborated on many legal and local matters over the years. We did not always agree but his passion and zealous advocacy on issues were inspiring and will not be forgotten. It was my privilege to know him.

We were so sorry to hear about Jim's passing. We have such wonderful memories living next door to your family for our first four years of married life. Of course, Greg was your neighbor since his birth. Our sincere thoughts and prayers are with your entire family.

This past Wednesday, while watching television about the Bush funeral, I learned of the passing of my friend, Jim Grenisen. Oh, how he would have enjoyed watching those proceedings. Some of us often thought that Jim should have been a college history professor. Jim was like #41 in many ways. He served in the military and got involved in local politics. He had to have had a great sense of humor-six daughters and one bathroom. As we were both claims adjusters, we had many stories to tell each other over a drink or at breakfast. This kind and generous friend will be missed. I hope his grandchildren take good care of his elephants. Our warmest sympathy to Rita and all of Jim’s family. Jim & LaRita Langen

I volunteered with Jim at the VFW omelette breakfast for 7-8 years, and always enjoyed our conversations, whether about family, politics, or religion. Whereas he was proud, he was also humble. I appreciate his commitment to his career and remember how he considered it a privilege to argue a case before the Wisconsin Supreme Court. Even though he did not win the case, he valued the opportunity and I am grateful that my husband and I were able to attend that hearing to support Jim in his endeavors. May God put His arm around you, Jim, and welcome you home!
