My condolences to Peg, and to you all, Flottmeyer Family. What a wonderful example your dad was of living his faith. Molly and Michelle, extra hugs to you as I think of our days at St. James. Your dad will be greatly missed. God bless you all.

Our thoughts and prayers are with your family. It was an honor and privilege to work with Joe for many years at the DOT before he retired. I have a ‘plethora’ of happy memories including of course, his way with words, what a good mentor he was, and enjoying a few cold ones with him, Linus, Jack, Don and the rest of the DOT family, and eventually including Steve and Sav. Especially I will always remember the summer of 87 when we built the hwy 16 bridges and going to pick up Joe. I will also especially think of Joe and Steve around fat Tuesday every year, as that was always a special time for ‘his people’. He will be missed but our loving memories will live on! My thoughts and prayers are with the entire Flottmeyer family during their time of loss. Joe was always the best part of any day that you shared with him. I was one of the lucky ones that got to work with Joe at the DOT before he retired. I also had the privilege of bowling and sharing of a "cold one" with him from time to time. Joe has left a great legacy in the wonderful family that he and Peg created.
