Joseph T. Wagner, 88, entered eternal life with the Lord on Saturday, July 11, 2015. Joe was born August 11, 1926 in La Crosse, the oldest of three sons born to Florence S. Daley Wagner. He attended St. Joseph’s Catholic Grade School and graduated from Aquinas High School in 1944. Joe entered the military service (Army) in 1950 serving in the Korean war as an Ammunition Foreman 45th Div. He was awarded 3 medals for his service. He returned home in August 1952 and to his employment at The Cooler Company.

Joe was a devoted caregiver to his mother and after she passed, his care for others continued as he routinely checked on the welfare of other residents at the high rise apartment where he resided the last several years. Joe was a kind and loving brother, uncle, cousin and friend. He was also of course a huge Packer fan!

Joe is survived by his brother John (Lois) Wagner, cousins Robert (Marie) Daley, Mary Ruth (Les) Hinze, nieces and nephews Nancy, Mike, Tom, Jane, Mary (children of James Wagner), and good friends Rich, Bob and Ed .

Joe was preceded in death by his mother Florence, brother James, grandmother Sophia and grandfather Thomas Daley, Uncles Tom Daley and Bill Daley, and cousins Tom Daley and Patty Daley.

A funeral mass will be held Tuesday July 21, 2015 at 10:30 AM in St. Joseph the Workman Cathedral, Marian Chapel, 530 Main St., La Crosse, WI. Msgr. Charles Stoetzel will officiate. Family and friends may call from 9:30 AM on Tuesday, until the time of Mass at Church. Burial will be held with Military honors by the Roy L. Vingers American Legion Post No. 52, in the Catholic Cemetery following Mass.

Memorials may be given to a charity of choice or the Cathedral.
