Linda R. Gentry

January 23, 1964 — December 9, 2018

Linda R. (Craig) Gentry was born to William and Myrtle (Stoltz) Craig in La Crosse on January 23, 1964. She was #10 of their 15 children. She left this world surrounded by her husband and son on December 9, 2018.  Linda fought her continuous battle with cancer with strength and dignity for almost 4 years, the last 2 months while mourning the loss of her mother.  Linda graduated from Aquinas High School in 1982.  She  worked for many years at Ardie’s Restaurant and later worked for McKesson.  Linda married Kip Gentry on April 26, 1997 and began their wonderful combined family.  Linda loved to cook and bake for her family and friends.

She is survived by her loving husband Kip of 21 years, their son Chase of La Crosse, her step-son Cade (Shannon) of Madison, WI and step-daughter Megan of Whitefish, MT.  She is further survived by her 14 siblings, Bill (Lisa) of Onalaska, Pat (Ken) Crowley of La Crosse, Jean (Jim) Cullen of Green Bay, WI, Mike (Phyllis) of Onalaska, Cathy (Roger) Hyldahl of La Crosse, Carol (John) Rogowski of La Crosse, Steve (Mona) of La Crosse, Dave (Jackie) of La Crosse, Judy (Ed) Huerkamp of Onalaska,  Jim of La Crosse, Tom (Sherry) of Kaukauna, WI,  Tim (Dawn) of Caledonia, MN, Sue (Todd) Nelson of La Crescent, MN and Sandy (Ed) Feyen of La Crosse.  She is also survived by many nieces and nephews who loved her very much.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a niece.

A rosary will be held at 10am Saturday December 15, 2018 at Blaschke & Schneider Funeral Home, 1501 West Ave So. La Crosse, WI.  Visitation is from 10am – 1:30pm at the funeral home with a celebration of life from 2pm – 6pm at Concordia Ballroom, 1129 La Crosse Street in La Crosse, WI.

Memorials are preferred and will be determined by the family at a later date.

God didn’t promise days without pain, laughter without sorrow, nor sun without rain, but He did promise strength for the day, comfort for the tears and light for the way.
