Marjorie “Midge” (Sackett) Tossenberger, 82, passed away on April 15, 2013 at Bethany Riverside in LaCrosse. Born on January 1, 1931 in Milwaukee, Midge was the daughter of Tess (Miotke) Sackett and Warren W. Sackett. She graduated from Holy Angels Academy, earned her bachelor’s degree from Marquette University and her master’s degree from UW-Whitewater. She married the love of her life, Emeric G. Tossenberger in 1957 and they were married for 41 years, living on Moose Lake in Nashotah, Erie, PA and Hartford, WI. They were members of St. Joan of Arc Church and St. Clare’s Church. Midge taught elementary school in Milwaukee, Waukesha and Pewaukee for many years.  She loved her family, gardening, nature, sewing, music, her pets, cooking, making holidays special, and volunteering with choir and many other church groups.  She particularly enjoyed sharing her love of children’s literature.

She is survived, loved and missed by her children Serena Terra, Bruce (Mary) Emeric, Loretta (Michael) Ranscht and Alane (Eric) Foose; her grandchildren, Alyssa & Talia Nepper, Ellen, Erin & James Emeric, David & Sara Ranscht, and Christopher & Alexander Foose; her sisters-in-law Mary Sackett and Alice Janssen; cousins, nieces and nephews as well as many friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Emeric, brother Robert W. Sackett, brother-in-law Eugene Janssen and other relatives.

Visitation for family & friends will be Saturday, April 20 at 9:30AM until time of Mass at Blessed Teresa of Calcutta Parish, W314 N7462 State Highway 83, North Lake, WI. Funeral Mass will be at 11:00AM. Burial will be at St. Clare Cemetery, North Lake. Friends and family may also call on Friday from 9:30AM to 10:30AM in the Faith & Life Center,2575 S. 7th St, LaCrosse, WI.

 The Blaschke & Schneider Funeral Homes are assisting the family with arrangements. Online condolences may be made at www.blaschkeschneider.com.
