Michael Danny Oehler, age 32, passed away March 27, 2018. Mike was born on May 22, 1985, in La Crosse, Wisconsin.
Some of Mike’s favorite things were football, namely the Green Bay Packers, playing guitar, music (especially Pink Floyd), target shooting with his family and friends and History. Mike was very knowledgeable on the Titanic and WWII, and loved to talk to anyone who would listen about these things. One of his great joys was able to visit the WWII Memorial in New Orleans with his Mother. The greatest joy of his life was his 7-year-old daughter Alice, who was the light of his life.
Mike graduated from Onalaska high school in 2003. During his high school years, he worked at McDonald’s. After high school, Mike went on to work at Century Foods in Sparta and Ashley Furniture in Arcadia, but due to his health was unable to continue to work.
He went home to be with our Lord and join his Maternal grandparents, Roscoe and Alice Belt and Paternal grandparents Earle and Leona Oehler, uncles David Belt and Merlin Oehler, Aunt Mae Nicolai, and many other family and friends.
Left to cherish his memory include his daughter Alice and her mother Jennifer McClellan, his mother Ruby (John) Kissinger, Father, Jerry (Marcy) Oehler. Sisters Amanda (Josh Schafer) Spencer, Jessica Spencer, Amie Kissinger, Emily Oehler and Megan Oehler. Brother Spencer Kissinger.
Nieces Livian, Genalyse, Piper and Belen, Nephew Cylas. Also survived by best friends, Jim Boshcka who was also like a father to Mike, Josh Sargent and Steve Amarantes and many other family and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday, April 5, 2018, at the Blaschke & Schneider Funeral Home, 1501 West Ave. So., La Crosse, Wis. Family and friends may visit from 5 to 7:00 PM on Wednesday at the funeral Home. Family and friends may also visit from 10:00 AM until the time of services at the Funeral Home on Thursday.
The family would like to thank Dave’s Guitar Shop for the donation of the Fender Guitar and to the anonymous donor of the Yamaha Guitar from Leithold’s. Thank you for your generosity.
