Our deepest sympathies and condolences to the Larkin family. We were out of town and just today found out that your dad had passed. So many fond memories immediately come to mind of "Boober" and the fun times our families shared together. We have always been so grateful for the great friendship our parents (Pete & Dolores) had with Bob and Jeanette. Whenever I saw Bob he always offered a warm hello and big smile. He was so sincere and genuine, always asking about family and friends. He had his own nicknames for me, "Gregor" and "Red", which always made me feel so comfortable in his presence. We will miss him, and keep him in our thoughts and prayers. Greg & Lynette Pederson

Bob was a good man...and like Scott stated...he was old school in a good way. He and his wife raised 4 great kids that he was very proud of. He was a pillar of the northside and did so many good things for the whole city. God bless the Larkins. Mike Coady and Family

My deepest sympathy to Linda, Dave, Mike, and Carol, on Bob's passing. He was one of a kind. Like they all were back in that era. I say that as a compliment as to the way his family is. Maybe he and my dad will get on some heavenly board, seeing the way they loved trying to keep things flowing in a positive way here. May he rest in peace.

A man of the Greatest generation. A man whom we all look up to. A man who meant the world to my family. We will struggle, we will grieve, we will love. It is has been a honor to know my Grandpa for almost 39 years and my children to know their Great Grandpa.

I work with Kris at Fowler and Hammer and even though I never met Bob, I feel like I knew him. The things that she shared with me over the past year have revealed an amazing person who seemed to care more about others (his children, caregivers, hospice providers, etc.) than himself. I've enjoyed hearing anecdotes about how he has interacted with his children who have so much to be proud of in the way they stepped in to care for their father so he could remain in his home. His example shone through them in how they cared for him. He had to have been so proud of the way you all worked together. What you gave of yourselves for him is a tribute to how he lived his life in providing for his family, serving in the military, serving as a city alderman, etc. My sympathies to the entire family in the loss of someone who's footprints we could all aspire to fill to make the world a better place. Condolences to you all for peace and healing during this time of loss.
