Russell H. Hundt

Russell ‘Russ’’Curly’’Buzz’’Mr. Rasberry’ H. Hundt, age 96, of La Crosse, died Thursday June 25, 2015, in Bethany St. Joseph Care Center. He was born in Middle Ridge, WI, on April 12, 1919 to August and Kathrine (Burbach) Hundt. He married Leona Marx at St. Peters Catholic Church in Middle Ridge WI.

Russ worked for the La Crosse Highway Department his entire life until his retirement.

He is survived by 4 Sons; Walter (Christine) Hundt of Janesville, WI, Allen (Patricia) Hundt of La Crosse, Daniel (Jeanine) Hundt of La Crosse, and Dennis (Rosella) Hundt of La Crosse, 11 Grandchildren; Jeffrey (Julie) Hundt, Timothy (Michelle) Hundt, Stacy (Paul) Apfel, Tara (Matt) VanNatta, Ryan Hundt, Kendra (Jeff) Walz, Michelle (Jay) Hernandez, Jason (Jami) Hundt, Nathan (Fiancé Mandi Allert) Hundt, Dennis R. (Christina) Hundt, and Dustin (Melissa) Hundt. He is also survived by 15 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

Russ was preceded in death by his wife Leona on April 1, 1995, two sisters; Helen Suhr Schroeder and Sister Kathleen Marie Hundt, and two brothers; Walter and Eugene Hundt.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 AM Monday June 29, 2015 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, State HWY 33, St. Joseph Ridge, WI. Msgr. Robert Hundt will officiate with entombment to be held in Mormon Coulee Memorial Park Cemetery in La Crosse. Family and friends may call from 5 to 7:00 PM, Sunday June 28, 2015 at St. Joseph Catholic Church with a Rosary to be held at 7:00 PM. Friends and family may also call from 9:30 AM until the time of Mass at Church on Monday.

Memorials are preferred and will be determined by the family at a later date.
