I am so sorry to learn of Ruthie's passing. We worked together at Gottlieb's/Walt's restaurant and became friends. Ruthie had a great sense of humor and a generous heart. She was a very social person and knew so many people from all walks of life in the area. To say she was a hard worker is an understatement! She always cared about doing things the right way, too. We lost touch, though I would often get a birthday card or call. I so regret I did not call or visit her in recent years. My condolences to her family.

So sorry to hear about your mother. She was a wonderful person and so full of life. We had many good times together. The one thing I remember is her and I loading up all the kids in the car to go asparagus hunting. Tromping along the railroad tracks and in the woods, she always managed to spot it before anyone else Her lasagna recipe was the best I have ever tasted. I am so glad she gave me her sauce recipe! She will be missed!

The beautiful picture of Ruthie has been bringing more and more memories as a young child. I always wanted to sleep over at her house with Toni. It was always fun. Ruthie always treated me as one of her own.?? So caring. The trips to Mindoro to visit her dad. She was a hard worker. I’ll always remember her smile and laugh. Whenever I drive by St Joes Ridge I think of her.
