Charles L. Stephenson

Charles L. Stephenson, age 76, of La Crosse, died Thursday November 10, 2016, at Benedictine Manor, in La Crosse. He was born on February 2, 1940, in Missouri to James Floyd ‘Pappy’ and Edna (Jones) Stephenson.

Charles’ world revolved around his family, especially his grandchildren and his two great-grandchildren. He enjoyed fishing and western movies, especially John Wayne.

He survived by his two daughters, Tina (Fredys) Molina, Tanya (Ryan) Stephenson; one step-son, John Stevens; three grandchildren, Anneka (Nikki-Jo) Yeager, Tucker ‘Tucker Bucker’ Yeager, and Carretha ‘Carre Mae’ Yeager; and two great-grandchildren, Jux Allen Lee Yeager and Leland Orlando Ritter. He is also survived by three nephews, two nieces and many great nieces and nephews.

Charles was preceded in death by his parents, and his three brothers Gerald, Richard (Louise), and Paul (Fran) Stephenson, and his widow Julia Ruth (Lundstrum) Stephenson.

A memorial luncheon will be held at 1:00 PM, Sunday November 13, 2016, in Olivet Lutheran Church, 2100 Bainbridge St., La Crosse, Wis. Burial will be held at a later date in Illinois.
