On behalf of the staff and volunteers at the Shrine of Our Lady of Guadalupe, we express our condolences and prayers for the repose of the soul of Dorothy and for peace to her family and friends during this difficult time. Many of us remember wonderful interactions and conversations with Dorothy on her frequent pilgrimages here. She will be missed by all of us. Eternal rest grant unto her, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon her. May she rest in peace. Amen.

My deepest sympathies go out to Savitri Joan and the entire Heberlein family. I have fond memories growing up with you, Joannie, during my childhood . I always loved spending time at your farm and house near Losey Boulevard. Your mother was always so sweet to me and treated me as one of the family, and, yes, she always made sure we had a healthy snack to eat. Your dad was always kidding around with me and called me “Lars”. I always felt welcome in your home and spending time with you and your family will always be a wonderful memory for me. You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers. Love, Jeannie Larson (Steingart)

I got to know your mother at Benedictine Saturday morning rosaries. I brought my violin and played and sang with the residents. I was especially happy to hear that Enid was her daughter-in-law for that brought me back to fond childhood memories. I was in Tim's class for 8 years of grade school and I saw Enid every day at school. We were both First Communion flower girls and Tim was a page. What a blessing Dorothy was to me! Her peaceful smile and love of song showed her strong faith, which I pray that your family has inherited from her presence. I'm so glad that you knew to plan for a violinist for her funeral because she had asked me to play. God bless you all, Dorothy's family! Dorothy, I know you are in heaven.

Our deepest sympathies go out to all the Heberlein family at this time of loss. While you have lost a pillar in the family, Dorothy made sure that she left behind pillars of strength in her wonderful children and no doubt in her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, whose lives of service speak volumes of the positive upbringing and influence Dorothy had on her family. Dorothy is at peace and her family will hopefully take comfort in knowing she smiles down on them with great pride. Much love from West virginia - Tom and Jody and Sarah Basile. Sarah sends special thoughts and prayers to her godmother and godfather, Mary Fran and Jay Brandenberger.

May our prayers be with your family at this time. Bob and I will not be able to attend. I remember you and Mary standing outside of the Options in Reproduction praying for the life of the unborn and when you first were ill and Jim was at Benedictine Manor.

Rest in Peace, dear sweet Aunt Dorothy. I'm so glad I got to see you a month ago and give you a hug (and a scone and cup of strong coffee!) and share some time together. Much love to all the Heberleins and their families. XO
