Hi Jenny and John, Wanted to direct this message to you and John. I remember your mother very well, and the smile you inherited from her has always reminded me of Mom as I think back over time. I knew her throughout my younger years, before you and I ever met in high school, and the years beyond. Those were the times she spent with my parents throughout the Oktoberfest era, within which our families participated to the max (Remember the unlimited ride tickets?) She was always a classy woman, as are you, and I thank you for those memories of your Mother and your family. Thank you, too, for the service you personally gave to my Mother at the store; she truly appreciated all of your dedication. God Bless! Jim, Shari, Michael and Jeffrey Garvalia

Reilands Our families history’s go way back to the days of Wedgewood. I can speak for my Mom and brothers that those were some special times, from the “Bridge Club” parties to the many summer picnics, Joan brought a special spirit to the festivities. While we will grieve now, in time we can all celebrate a life well lived and remember all the good times. With all our sympathies, Bruce and the Lindseth family

Our sympathies to the family during this difficult year. When we moved to La Crosse in 1995, we joined the local dance clubs. Jack and Joan invited us to some of their pre-dance socials and were so welcoming. Over the years, we enjoyed watching them dance the ‘real’ hop-polka. No one did it better than they did! They always had smiles and, as someone else mentioned, were a delight if they happened to be seated at your table during the Senate dances. We miss them both!

My thoughts and prayers are with all the Reiland Family. I will remember Jack and Joan and the many hugs and smiles we would get after Mass...they were the kindest, loving people. They are finally together and no doubt dancing!! My heart aches for you all.

Jenny and Family, your Mom and Dad were such a joy to know. The love they had for each other was so special. Your Mom was always looking out for others and she was always so sweet and kind. You were all so wonderful to them. They raised good children which they would say was their greatest blessing.

Dear Reiland family, you are in our thoughts and hearts. Joan and Jack were such good friends to our parents, Wally and Gorny Morse. We remember how much our parents enjoyed Bridge Club, and we all enjoyed seeing Joan and Jack on the "big screen" during Grumpier Old Men! With much sympathy, Deb, John, and Mike Morse.

I am so sorry for your loss. I had the privilege to work at Franciscan Skemp, now Mayo Clinic with your Mother when she worked in ENT. What a gem she was to work with. Always smiling & making it a great day at work. I also saw her as a volunteer, she was excellent. I had the delightful experience to see your parents in dancing action. They were the very best. You have alot to be very proud of. Remember all the good times to sustain you in the difficult ones. Sincerely in sympathy, Karen Nordstrom LPN

Condolences to the Reiland family. Joan and Jack were neighbors of my grandparents , Ed and Olga Hilmoe for decades. I remember your mother always being happy and welcoming. And that laugh! I can hear it now! She and Jack were both wonderful people. Sending prayers to you during this difficult time.

My thoughts and prayers are with you. Aunt Joan was a very loving and caring person. She was dedicated to family and extended family and friends. The care and comfort she gave mom when she was on hospice will never be forgotten. Her life was filled with happiness, family and friends. She now shares heaven with Grandma and Granpa Pawlak, her husband Jack, my mother and Mim. Your obituary is a truly strong tribute to her and her life.
