Speropulos, Johanna

 

Johanna “Jo” Speropulos, 84, of La Crosse died Saturday, August 18th, 2012.  She was born June 17th, 1928 in Chicago, Ill.  She married James T. Speropulos on June 3, 1951 in Madison, WI.  Johanna was a homemaker until her children were in school.  She then worked for many years at English Lutheran Church Office in La Crosse, WI as a bookkeeper until her retirement.  She was a member of St Patrick’s Catholic Church in Onalaska, WI.

 

She is survived by her children, Catherine (Gregory) Weber of Holmen; Debra (Gary) Arneson of La Crosse; Thomas (Paula) Speropulos of Onalaska; James M. (Paula) Speropulos of Holmen; and Gerald Speropulos of Holmen; grandchildren, Andrew and Megan Speropulos, Jennifer (Jonathan) Blaha, Jason and Jacqueline Speropulos, Nicole (Justin) Bracciale, Natalie (Brian) Buchkosky, Kelly Arneson; great grandchildren, Sydney, Shelby, Samuel Blaha, Matthew Bracciale; sister, Frieda Drinka; brother in law, John (Esther) Speropulos; sister in laws, Annie Mathews and Genie Hilgendorf.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Jim; her parents; sister, Angie Serk; brother, William Miller and granddaughter, Angela Speropulos.

 

Respecting Jo’s wishes, a private family service was be held August 24, 2012.. The Blaschke & Schneider Funeral Homes are assisting with arrangements. 

 

The family would like to thank relatives and friends for their support and the staff at Hillview Healthcare Center for the compassionate care they provided to both Jo and her family during her stay.
