Kevin J. Roesler

d. January 4, 2020

Kevin James Roesler, 52, of Arcadia, WI, died Saturday, January 4, 2020, at St. Mary’s Hospital, Rochester, MN. He was born in Aurora, IL, to William “Bill” and Bonnie (Rebhahn) Roesler on November 28, 1967. He married his high school sweetheart, Michele Moe, on October 27, 1990, at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church in Arcadia, WI.

Kevin started life very strong willed, and filled with so much love. Love of family, love of friends, love of nature. It was his big heart, and love of life that drew so many to him. He touched many lives through life lessons of kindness, love, patience, humor, tenacity, teaching others and his strong faith. Getting out in nature was his way to find himself and this was Kevin’s way of finding comfort.

He was a masterful carpenter who loved being outdoors and working with wood. Bill and Kevin worked together for 22 years owning Roesler Construction. With Bill’s retirement, Kevin continued the family business and Hickory Hill Construction became his dream business. He built many homes over the years and was very proud of them. He would say the best part of his job is taking a step back and seeing his final product.

Family and friends were important to Kevin. Spending quality time with family and friends built so many strong relationships throughout his lifetime. Michele was the absolute love of his life. Together their bond of marriage grew deeper and stronger with the birth of their children, and years filled with laughter, memories, and most of all…..love. He loved family gatherings, family vacations, summer camping trips, cabin adventures, fishing trips and various hunting camps. His time with his special hunting buddy Shaylah, and fishing partner Megan, were his best memories of all. The outdoors gave Kevin a sense of peace, dignity, and self-worth. Hunting and fishing had a special way of reenergizing his spirit and zest for life.

No hunt too tough, No fish too big, No project too complex, No battle too fierce and not worth fighting for. Rest now, for in our minds and heart you have won your battle. You are a true warrior, Kevin. You are not gone, you will forever be in our hearts and minds. We are all just walking each other home.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Michele, of Arcadia, WI; Two daughters, Shaylah (Brent) Servais of La Crosse, WI, and Megan Roesler (Mackinzie Nutzmann) of Arcadia, WI; His parents, William “Bill” and Bonnie Roesler of Arcadia, WI; His two sisters, Michelle “Shelly” (Dave) Lisowski of Waunakee, WI, and Melissa “Missy” (Troy) Pellowski of Onalaska, WI; His Grandmother-in- law; Bernice Sonsalla of Winona, MN; His mother and father in-law, Kenneth “Kenny” and Betty Moe of Arcadia, WI; And his brother and sister-in-law, Jay and Lori Moe of Arcadia, WI, and several other family and friends.
