Maria E. Fleming

Maria E. (Katz) Fleming, 69, of Onalaska died on Monday, April 8, 2019. She was born on April 17, 1949 in Germany to Isreal and Johanna (Winkler Doerfert) Katz. She married Patrick Fleming on June 24, 1995 in California, Maryland.

Maria loved to use her creative side. She was a wonderful artist and especially loved painting and doing needle crafts. She was the Secretary of the Coulee Country chapter of the Embroiders Guild of America.

Maria was a loving mother and wife survived by her Husband Patrick, one son; David (Reina) Butler, three grandchildren; Natsumi (16), Kazuki (14), and Minami (12). She is also survived by her sisters, Ruth Katz, Bette Cruz, and her aunt Ilona and five cousins.  Brother-in-law James Fleming and wife Anna; nephew Scott , wife Maria and son William; nieces Beth and Destiny Fleming ; sister-in-law Margaret Fleming.

Maria was preceded in death by her parents.

Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 AM on Thursday, April 18, 2019, in Blaschke & Schneider Funeral Home, 1501 West Ave. South, La Crosse. Deacon David Allen will officiate the service with Visitation starting at 9:30 AM.
