Mary Anna Sexauer, 94, of La Crosse, passed away Sunday, February 18, 2018, at her home.   She was born September 10, 1923 in La Crosse to Nicholas and Anna (Koelbl) Strasser. She grew up on a farm in rural Stoddard. She worked in La Crosse at Northern Engraving and Badger Corrugating. On March 7, 1947, she married Robert S. Sexauer.

Mary was a charter member of St. Thomas More Catholic Church and St. Pius X Catholic Church.   She was a member of the Women of the Moose, the American Legion Auxiliary, VFW Auxiliary and St. Francis Hospital Auxiliary.

Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Robert, in 2008, her son Kenneth and her brother Nicholas.

She is survived by 5 sons: Donald (Chris) of Las Cruces, NM, Michael (Laurie) of La Crescent, Minn Charles (Kathryn) of Las Vegas, Nev, Edward of San Diego, Calif, and Arthur (Jennifer) of La Crosse; 2 daughters, Catherine (Robert) Sutton of Prairie du Chien, Wis and Barbara (Richard) Liberto of Cape Coral, Fla; 14 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren; 2 sisters, Leora Kish and Teresa Heberlein of La Crosse.

Her greatest joy was traveling across the country to visit her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She also loved bowling, golfing and playing euchre.

A funeral Mass will be held Wednesday, February 21, 2018 at 4:30 P.M. at Mary, Mother of the Church Parish, 2006 Weston Street. Rev. Robert Cook will officiate. Family and friends may call at the church on Wednesday from 2:30 P.M. until the time of Mass.   A private family burial will follow on Thursday.

Memorials are preferred to Aquinas High School, Mary Mother of the Church Parish, or the Boys and Girls Club.
