We have lived on the block for 20 years, and enjoyed the company and sidewalk visits with Mrs. Nix. She was a favorite house for trick or treating, in that she gushed over the kids costumes, always ordered a little something when going door to door for school and cub scout fundraisers, decorated the bike for holidays. I loved making the connection of meeting Eddy when I would was in Viroqua, and her grandson was in Logan Showchoir with our son. She was always pleasant out on her walks and was impeccable in her attire. I loved learning she was a model and loved shoes! I also knew of her and Judge Nix when I was in college and worked at the old La Crosse Country Club as a waitress. May your many memories comfort you at this time, and may her memory be for a blessing. I am sure you will all gather to celebrate her life in a beautiful way. Pease and Sympathy, Jennifer and Chris Shilling Nate and Zach

Dear Mary Kay and Gary and your siblings and families: Kay had the brightest smile and always was loving life! May we all live life as fully as Kay did. She was blessed with a long and happy life and got to meet so many of her grandchildren and great granchildren - you just know she will keep special watch over them from the heavenly realms. May God give you all special strength through these difficult days. With much love - Jeff and Patti Lokken

Mary Kay was a special person in our neighborhood and the Catholic Daughters. We will miss her. It was interesting to read that she was a model when she was young. She carried that out throughout her life as she always looked so wonderful in her outfits. Enjoy your memories of Mary Kay.

Sorry to learn of Kay's passing. My sympathy to all her family. I knew Kay and Ed since coming to Blessed Sacrament 41 years ago! Eddy and Michael were in school there then. She was a good neighbor, a loving mother and friend, active in the community. May God grant her the reward of her faith and goodness.
