Michael A. Schneider, Age 56, of Stoddard, Wis., died peacefully in his home on September 2, 2020 comforted and cared for by his loving family. He was born November 8, 1963 to Benedict and Marie (Gandyra) Schneider. He married his High School sweetheart, Marie Abts, on June 2, 1984, at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, Arcadia, Wis. They shared a life full of Faith, Family and Friends that many can only dream of.

Mike lived life to the fullest. He will be remembered for his reassuring hugs, sloppy kisses, endless one liners, love for classic cars (mainly AMC), his impeccable taste in music, and a unique ability to say the most inappropriate thing at the most appropriate time! Most of all, he will be remembered for being a kind, comforting, and guiding light for so many families and friends after the loss of their loved ones. He loved funeral service and the reward of new friendships that came with it.

Mike is survived by his loving wife, Marie Schneider; three children, Amanda (Greg) Pittman of La Crosse, Wis., Adam (Gina Gentry) of La Crosse, Wis., Angela (Devan Johnson) of Stoddard, Wis.; and two grandchildren, Cullen and Maddox Pittman. He is further survived by his mother, Marie (Frank) Klimek; his brothers, Steve Schneider of Arcadia, Wis., and Matt (Theresa) Klimek, of Inver Grove Heights, MN.; his brother-in-law Clyde (Janet) Abts; and his nephew Kyle (Melissa) Abts and niece Chelsey (Chad) Losinski. He was preceded in death by his father, and niece Natasha Abts.

A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 AM on Tuesday, September 8, 2020 in St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, 1031 Main St., Onalaska, Wis. Msgr. Steven Kachel will officiate with burial to be held in Catholic Cemetery, La Crosse. Family and friends may visit from 5 to 8:00 PM on Monday, September 7, 2020 in Blaschke & Schneider Funeral Home, 1501 West Ave. South, La Crosse, and from 9:30 AM until the time of Mass at Church on Tuesday. The funeral mass will also be available to live stream from St. Patrick’s Website: https://www.stpatsonalaska.com.

The family requests that masks be worn and responsible social distancing practices be adhered to. In memory of Mike, classic cars are encouraged for the funeral procession.
