Nancy L. Roth

Nancy Lea Roth, 87, of Brice Prairie, Wis., died Sunday, Dec. 10, 2017, in Bluffview Memory Care, Holmen, Wis., after losing her battle with Alzheimer’s. She was born in La Crosse, Wis., on Sept. 25, 1930, to George and Della, (Heck) Fox. She married Ferdinand L. Roth, Sr. on April 21, 1951, in St. John’s Catholic Church in La Crosse, Wis.

Nancy suffered a traumatic emotional loss when she lost her husband Ferd in 1985. She learned to enjoy life again with family and loved spending time with her grandchildren. Christmas was a special time for her with family and “traditions”. she will especially be missed this time of year.

She is survived by two daughters; Judy (Rick) Nelson of Holmen, Wis., and Lynette (Jerome) Pedretti of Holmen, Wis., four sons; Ferdinand (Sam) Roth of Onalaska, Wis., William (Deb) Roth of Holmen, Wis., Ron Roth of Onalaska, Wis., and Timothy Roth of Holmen, Wis.  Ten grandchildren; Jamie (Chris) Dirks, Ryan (Nora) Nelson, Emily (Jess) Humpal, Ethan (Amanda Lawrence) Pedretti, and Evan Pedretti.  Ferdinand (Angela) Roth III, Carlie (Matt) Gullickson, Corey Roth, Chris (Jamie) Roth, Kyle ( Amy) Roth, and 19 great-grandchildren.  She is further survived by two sisters, Peggy (James) Sturgis of Onalaska, Wis., Sandy (Lynn) Robertson of Stoddard, Wis.

She was preceded in death by her husband Ferdinand Roth, Sr., on February 7, 1985, one sister Betty Wood and one brother George Fox.

Entombment will be held at 1:30 PM Wednesday, December 13, 2017, in the Catholic Cemetery, La Crosse, Wis. Rev. Delbert Malin will officiate.  A celebration of life will be announced at a later date.

Memorials are preferred to the Alzheimer’s Association.
