LARSEN, Ronald A.

Ronald A. Larsen, 71, of Genoa, Wis., died Saturday, October 20, 2012, at Mayo Health System, La Crosse, Wis. He was born in Mankato, Minn.  on April 24, 1941, to Arthur and Margaret (Crabtree) Larsen.

Ron graduated from Egan High School in Egan, South Dakota. He joined the US Army. Ron was employed at Holiday Stations for over 30 years until his retirement.

He is survived by three daughters; Jan (Orin) Ames of De Soto, Wis., Crystal (Bruce) Ward of Viroqua, Wis., and Kelly (Stan) Niemyjski of Viroqua, Wis., three sons; Kevin (Tracy) McLees of Viroqua, Wis., Guy McLees of La Crosse, Wis., and Harold (Lisa) Mc Lees of Viroqua, Wis., 19 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. He is further survived by one sister; Arlys Johnson of La Crosse, and his four cats; Charlie, Trouble, Wyatt and Littlejack.

He was preceded in death by his soul mate Joan McLees, his parents, one infant sister Marlene and one daughter Renee Britt and one son Kenan McLees. 

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM Wednesday, October 24, 2012, in Blaschke & Schneider Funeral Home, 1501 West Ave. So., La Crosse, Wis., Rev. Robert Schaller will officiate with burial with Military Honors by Genoa American Legion Post 246 in Riverside Cemetery, Genoa, Wis. Family and friends may call from 9:00 AM until the time of services in the Funeral Home on Wednesday. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred.
