Sharon L. Marco, 83, of La Crosse, died Sunday, December 15, 2019, in Bethany St. Joseph’s Care Center.

Sharon was a parishioner at St. James the Less Parish in La Crosse. She graduated from Logan High School in 1954. She married Vincent R. Marco in 1957 and they enjoyed 62 years of marriage together. Sharon worked for the La Crosse School District and retired as a secretary from Logan High School. She loved Wisconsin sports teams, especially the Brewers, Badgers and Packers. Sharon also enjoyed watching Duke during college basketball season. After retirement, Sharon could be found at her favorite casino or watching her grandchildren’s sporting events. First and foremost she enjoyed family gatherings with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Earl and Bernice Blank, her husband, Vincent R. Marco, and is survived by her brother, Jerome Blank, sister, Judy (Ted) Paulson, her three children; Michael (Patricia), Patrick (Heidi) and Lisa (James) Roth, five grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, and life- long friends, Chuck and Joan Horton, Don and Marilyn Heilman, and Buff and Carol Peterson. She will be dearly missed.

Special thanks to Bethany St. Joseph Care Center for all the care and support they gave Sharon and Vince.

Funeral services will be held at a later date.

The Blaschke and Schneider Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Donations in Sharon’s name can be given to the Logan High School Booster Club or the La Crosse Boys and Girls Club.

Eternal rest grant unto her Oh Lord and let perpetual light shine upon her. May she rest in peace.
