Sherri L. Seelig, 60, of La Crosse, Wis., died Monday, Oct. 1, 2018, in Gundersen Lutheran Medical Center, La Crosse, Wis.

She was born in La Crosse, Wis., on Dec. 27, 1957, to Rodrick “Rick” L. and Dawn M. (Amme) Ledman. She married Max “Mike” Seelig in May of 1976, in Our Saviors Lutheran Church in West Salem, Wis.

Sherri inherited a love of the Mississippi River from her father Rick and created a lifetime of memories for her children and grandchildren. She was the heart of her family and will be deeply missed by many.

Sherri wished to thank Chandra for her beautiful apartment overlooking the river and a special thank you to Dr. Uprety and Gundersen Health System Team for their compassionate care.

Sherri was so grateful for the love and support of her beloved State Bank family and her dear friends at Kwik Trip.

She is survived by two daughters; Nicole Sheehan of Onalaska, Wis., and Elizabeth Seelig of La Crosse, Wis., three grandchildren; Christian (Mariah) Seelig Shaw, Chloe Seelig and Apollo Sheehan and 4 great grandchildren. Two sisters; Melissa (Norman) Webster of Oswego, KS and Bobbi (Charles) Goudey of Kingsley, Mich., and four brothers; Michael Ledman of La Crosse, Wis., Steve Ledman of La Crosse, Wis., Steve (Jennifer) Seelig of El Dorado, KS and Jerry Carpenter of Kingsley, Mich. as well as her Aunts Leah (Ledman) Brueggeman and Lynn (Ledman) Miller, of La Crosse, Wis.

She was preceded in death by her husband Max on March 13, 2014, and her parents.

A funeral service will be held at 2:30 PM Friday, October 12, 2018, in the Blaschke & Schneider Funeral Home, 1501 West Ave. So., La Crosse, Wis. Rev. Brian D. Konopa will officiate. Family and friends may visit from 1:30 PM until the time of services in the funeral home on Friday.
