THAO, Vang Houa

Vang (Oscar) Houa Thao, 27, of La Crosse, Wisconsin unexpectedly passed away on April 26th, 2015 in Little Canada, Minnesota. He was born in La Crosse, Wisconsin on October 29th, 1987 to Chee Lee Thao and Chong Choua Thao. Vang graduated from La Crosse Logan High School and continued his higher education at the University of La Crosse- Wisconsin. He graduated with his bachelors degree in Finance and worked at Green Tree Mortgage.

He was known for his light-hearted humor, kindness and uplifting personality.

His hobbies included traveling, fitness, and sports. He loved basketball, soccer and football.

 

Vang is survived by his father, Chong Choua Thao, his mother Chee Lee Thao,

his three brothers: Chia Thao, Kou Thao, and Nhia Thao,

and his four sisters: Ka Youa Thao, Mai Ya Thao, May Thao, and Nancy Thao. His niece Serephina Lor and his nephews Destyn Lee, Wynn Lee, Tydius Lor, and Andy Wu.

 

Traditional Hmong Funeral services will be starting from 8am on Saturday, May 9th, until 10am on Monday, May 11th at Hmoob Cultural and Community Agency. 1815 Ward Ave, La Crosse, WI 54601. Vang Houa Thao will be buried in Oak Grove Cemetry in La Crosse, Wisconsin.
