Vaughn L. Gerken Sr.

Vaughn L. Gerken Sr., 72, of Onalaska, Died Monday, July 20, 2015 at Mayo Clinic Health System, in La Crosse. He was born on November 11, 1942 to Frank and Olga (Henthorn) Gerken. He married Dorothy Andrews on December 21, 1962 in Clovis, NM.

He is survived by one daughter; Tammy (George Gurley) Gerken, four sons; Vaughn (Tracy) Gerken Jr., Guy Gerken, Troy (Debora) Gerken, and Mike (Diane) Gerken, 22 Grandchildren, and 9 Great-Grandchildren. He is also survived by one sister; Lavine Tschida, and three Brothers; Frank (Alice) Gerken Jr., Robert (Linda) Gerken, and Russell (Marlene) Gerken.

Vaughn was preceded in death by his parents Frank and Olga, his wife Dorothy, one brother Jack Gerken and brother-in-law Joe Tschida.

Funeral Services will be held Friday, July 24, 2015 at 12:00 PM at Blaschke & Schneider Funeral Home – Nelson Chapel, 1007 Caledonia St., on the North Side of La Crosse. Family and friends may call from 10:00 AM until the time of the service at the Funeral Home. Rev. David Baldukas will officiate. Burial will be held with Military Honors by the Roy L. Vingers American Legion Post 52 at the Onalaska Cemetery following services.
