Betty J. Giese

Betty J. Giese, 88, of La Crosse passed away Sunday Dec. 14, 2014 at Bethany-Riverside. They She graduated from Central High School and in 1947 married David L. Brown; they were later divorced. In 1965 she married Ellsworth “Al” Giese and they later divorced.

Betty worked as a secretary at Fort McCoy for many years until her retirement. She had a great love of animals of all kinds. Betty enjoyed tending her garden and later specialized in growing orchids. She was a long time member of English Lutheran Church.Betty is survived by her family: Steve (Bonnie) Brown of Stoddard, Mary (Howard) Vinson of Melrose, Doug (Bonnie Jean) Brown of Mindoro, and Greg (Leslie) Brown of La Crosse; 12 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren; special friends Lew Jenkins and Dal Shaver.Funeral services will be held Friday Dec. 19, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. at the Blaschke & Schneider Funeral Home 1501 West Ave. South, La Crosse, Pastor Mark Solsyst Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Friday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of services.
