October 29, 1950 — March 7, 2022

Colin Roger Carrimon (Ahupahi), 71, passed peacefully on Monday, March 7th, 2022 at home surrounded by loving family.

He was born October 29, 1950 in La Crosse to LaVerne and Lorraine (Snowball) Carrimon. Colie graduated from Logan High School and enlisted in the United States Marine Corps from 1971-1975 during the Vietnam War.

He married his loving wife, Bonnie, on April 20th, 1975.

He worked as a La Crosse County Sheriff Deputy until retirement in 2003. His quick whit, humor, beautiful smile, and storytelling was enjoyed by everyone who met him. Colin was an avid hunter and fisherman. He enjoyed playing in volleyball leagues, hiking, biking, camping, playing cards with Davey Weis, and solving the problems of the world at Wiebke with his friends. He was a Commissioner – Accounting Liaison for the Ho-Chunk Housing and Community Development Agency from 2004-2018, served on the AMERIND board, was a member of the Mitchell Redcloud Marine Corp League, American Legion Post 129 and 40 et. 8, and was involved with NASA. By far, being Choka/”Chota” to his 3 grandchildren was his greatest joy.

The family would like to thank Gundersen Cardiology, Renal Dialysis Center, and Internal Medicine for the loving care they provided him.

He is survived by his loving mom Millie, wife Bonnie, children David (Mary), Jamie Goodbear, and Sarah; precious grandchildren Jack Daniel, Alexander Colin, and Millie Vanessa; brothers Al, Perry, Fabian, Pierre DeCorah Junior, and Dave Sands; and many loving family members.
