Cyril P. Quillin, age 92, of Onalaska, died Sunday February 8, 2015. He was born on February 28, 1922, and raised in Brownsville, MN, to Thomas and Elenor (Gasper) Quillin. He married Anna Muehlenberg in La Crosse, on April 24, 1956.
Cyril was a very proud of his driving record throughout his life. He drove gasoline transport vehicles for a very long time, and loved to go on drives in his Lincoln Town Car. As much as he loved his Lincoln, he adored his grandchildren much more. He worked for the La Crosse County Highway Department as a heavy machine operator. He was the Highway Department Foreman at the time of his retirement.
He is survived by his daughter, Kay (John) Dahlka, of New Auburn, two Grandchildren; Adam and Janelle Dahlka, and a very special friend; Colleen.
He was preceded in death by his wife Anna, his parents, and his six siblings; Marcel, Donald, Rosemary Nixon, Devoin, Milton, and Eileen Yanke.
A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 AM Wednesday, February 11, 2015 at St. Patrickâ€™s Catholic Church, 1031 Main Street, in Onalaska, WI. Entombment will be held at the Catholic Cemetery, in La Crosse. Family and friends may call from 9:30 AM until the time of Mass at Church on Wednesday.
In Lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred for masses to be said. Any other donations will go toward a charity, chosen by the family.
