Dennis James Frappier

Dennis James Frappier, 73 of La Crescent MN passed away on Tuesday, November 21, 2023, at Bluffview Memory Care, Holmen after a long battle with dementia.  He was born on December 31, 1949, to Donald and Eleanora (Johnston Witt) Frappier.

 He graduated from La Crescent High School in 1968 and enlisted in the Marine Corp from 1968-1972 and fought in the Vietnam War and joined WI Army National Guards until 1989. Dennis married Joyce LaFleur in 1981 and divorced in 1986. He married his soulmate Gayanne Buss in 1997 who passed away in 2009.  Dennis married Debra Farrey in 2012 who passed away in 2016. Dennis was a welder for Liquid Handling, Madison, WI and later Wisconsin Southern Railroad when he retired in 2012.

Dennis was a proud Veteran and Commander in the VFW Post 8483, Madison, WI.  He loved the Vikings, riding his Harley, Elvis, horseshoes, Euchre, Cribbage, bowling, and pool leagues.   He was always the life of the party by singing and dancing on his knees.  

Dennis is survived by his stepchildren he raised as his own with Joyce, David (Kris) LaFleur, Daniel (Tammy) LaFleur, Dawn (Dano) Vinson all of La Crosse, WI and his stepchildren with Gayanne, Thomas Buss, Merritt Island FL, Roger (Carol) Langkamp, Eau Claire WI, Bobbie Laabs, Sun Prairie WI, and Terri (Patrice) Krukowski, Oak Creek, WI,  his sisters Mary (Bob) Verdick, and Karen (Craig) Banasik. Along with 13 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his 2 wives Gayanne and Debra, 4 brothers Edward, Robert, James, and Richard, 2 sisters Corrine, and Arlene, and his son-in-law Dano.

A visitation will be held from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM, on Wednesday, November 29, 2023, at Blaschke & Schneider Funeral Home, 1501 West Ave. South, La Crosse. Burial with Military Honors will take place in Crucifixion Cemetery, La Crescent, MN, immediately following the visitation on Wednesday.
