Edward C. Hayek

Edward C. Hayek, 100, of La Crosse, Wis., died Sunday, May 25, 2014, in Gundersen Lutheran Medical Center, La Crosse, Wis. He was born in La Crosse, Wis., on Oct. 24, 1913, to Frank and Ida (Westphal) Hayek. He married Murilla J. Reinertz on May 29, 1937, in St. James the Less Catholic Church, La Crosse, Wis.

He is survived by his son, Dennis Hayek of La Crosse, Wis., four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife on May 5, 2011, his parents, one sister and two brothers.

Graveside services will be held at 10:30 A.M., Friday, May 30, 2014, in Mormon Coulee Memorial Park Cemetery, La Crosse, Wis. Rev. Mark Solyst will officiate with Military Honors to be performed by the Roy L. Vingers American Legion Post 52, La Crosse, Wis.
