Harold Frederick Ritter Jr.

Harold ‘Harry’ F. Ritter Jr., 75, of La Crosse, died surrounded by his family, on Thursday, April 6, 2023, at Gundersen Health System.

He loved all his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

Everybody that knew him knew he was a huge Chicago Bears and Milwaukee Brewers fan. Harry was an avid Euchre, cribbage, 500 Rummy, and dart player.

He worked for over 40 years at La Crosse Rubber Mills and made many lifelong relationships there. He was a true Northsider.

Harry is survived by his children Robert (Andrea) and their children Megan and Samantha; Scott (Mary) and their children Justin, Stephanie and Branden; Jessie (Josh) and their children Gabriel, Isaiah, Ezekiel and Malachi; Angela (Marlene), and 11 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his sister, Mary (Bruce) VanBerkum and their son Ryan.

He was preceded in death by his parents Harold Sr. and Edna Ritter, and 2 grandchildren, Cameron and Coral Amerson.

A Memorial Service will be held at 7:00PM, on Wednesday, April 12, 2023, at Blaschke & Schneider Funeral Home, 1501 West Ave. South, La Crosse. Family and friends may visit from 4:00 PM, until the time of the service at the funeral home on Wednesday. A private family burial will take place at Woodlawn Cemetery on Thursday April 13, 2023.

The family would like to extend their deepest gratitude to Dr. Reggie M. Thomes, and the staff at Hillview Health Care Center and Gundersen Health System, for the wonderful care they gave Harry.
