Harriet S. Karrib, 100, of La Crosse, Wis., died on Wednesday, April 6, 2022, in the Sebring Assisted Care Residence, Madison, Wis. She was born in Ray, North Dakota, on March 5, 1922, to George and Ethel (Burr) Brose. After graduating high school, she met and married Louis Karrib on February 15, 1943, in La Crosse, and he passed away on April 21, 1964.

Harriet was an active member of St. Thomas More Parish, was in the St. Joan of Arc Society, the DAV Auxiliary, VFW Auxiliary, volunteered for the Red Cross, and the Tomah VAMC RSVP for over 40 years.

She is survived by her daughter Kristine (Richard) Epping, of Oregon, Wis., son Ronald Karrib of Madison, Wis.; three grandchildren, Mark (Stephanie) Epping, Julie Epping-Smith, and Steven (Leslie) Epping; six great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband Louis, her parents, sister Hazel Rumsey, and two brothers, Glenn (Loretta) Brose and Robert (Winnie) Brose.

A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 AM on Monday, April 11, 2022, in Mary Mother of the Church Parish, 2006 Weston St., La Crosse. Rev. Brian D. Konopa will officiate with burial to be held in Catholic Cemetery, La Crosse. Family and friends may visit from 9:30 AM until the time of Mass at Church on Monday.

Memorials are preferred to Agrace Hospice, 5395 East Cheryl Parkway, Fitchburg, Wis., 53711, or to a charity of choice.
