Jeanette Olson

Jeanette “Jeanne” M. Olson, 88, of La Crosse, passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 3, 2025, at Mayo Clinic Health System – La Crosse.

Jeanne was born on October 27, 1936, in La Crosse to Clyde V. and Anna C. (Leibl) Allen. She was a proud graduate of Aquinas High School, Class of 1954. After high school, Jeanne built a fulfilling career as a senior accountant. Beyond her professional life, she enjoyed spending time working on ceramics and knitting, and was always comforted by her favorite music.

She is survived by her children, Roy E. Allen of La Crosse and Donna (Mike) Wateski of Onalaska; her sisters-in-law, Darlene Richardson of Chetek and Diane Allen of Eau Claire; her six beloved grandchildren; and her first great-grandson.

Jeanne was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Rudolph “Rudy” Olson Jr., one sister, and four brothers.

The family wishes to express their heartfelt thanks to Dr. Edward Malone III, M.D., for his many years of dedicated care and support.

In accordance with Jeanne’s wishes there will not be a gathering or funeral service. Burial will take place at the Mormon Coulee Memorial Park Cemetery.
