Jeffrey â€œJeffâ€ Alan Susdorf, 64, of La Crosse, WI, passed away on Saturday, April 4, 2015 at Gundersen Lutheran Hospital.
Jeff was born on May 7, 1950 in Baraboo, WI to Walter and Jean (Landskron) Susdorf. He graduated from Lincoln High School in Manitowac, WI in 1968. He attended college at Viterbo College and graduated with a Bachelors of Science in Psychology in 1980. Jeff married Signe Olson in 1974. After having two wonderful children who he cherished more than anything, they later divorced.
Jeff was a very skilled man and enjoyed a variety of occupations throughout his life, including working in automotive repair, as an insurance agent, a counselor for Harmony House, and recently retired from Western Wisconsin Plastic Corporation.
Jeff had a passion for fishing, hunting, cooking, and fixing and building things. He loved going up north to his brotherâ€™s cabin. He was a wonderful cook and enjoyed collecting the newest kitchen gadgets he could find. He enjoyed learning and analyzing the mechanics of things and loved to share his knowledge with others. He loved making people laugh and most of all, spending time and having a beer with his family.
Jeff will be dearly missed by his son, Aaron (Alli); daughter, Wendy (Warren Handke); grandson, Weston Handke; his parents, Walter and Jean; siblings; Patricia Hacker, Markkie, Daniel (Lisa) and Joseph; and many nieces, nephews, and friends. He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Dale and Hazel Susdorf, Edward and Adeline Landskron, and his nephew, Eric Hacker.
A Memorial Service will be held at 12:30 PM, Saturday, April 11, 2015 at Blaschke & Schneider Funeral Home, 1501 West Ave. So., La Crosse, Wis. Msgr. Steven Kachel will officiate. Family and friends may call from 11:00 AM until the time of the service at the funeral home.
