Jeffrey “Jeff” R. Kamla, 55, of Chandler, Ariz., and formerly of La Crosse, Wis., died unexpectedly in his home, Monday, January 18, 2016, in Chandler, Ariz. He was born in La Crosse, Wis., on Sept. 23, 1960 to Joachim “Jim” and Cornelia “Cornie” (Narloch) Kamla. He married Julie Hesselberg on Sept. 25, 1982, in St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Bangor, Wis.

Jeff graduated from Aquinas High School in 1979, and over time became an excellent craftsman, excelling at woodworking and remodeling. He was an avid Green Bay Packer fan, even while being surrounded by Arizona Cardinal Fans. Jeff very much enjoyed spending time with his family, and looked forward to watching his two grandsons grow up. He also enjoyed his job in Arizona very much and took great pride in it.

He is survived by one son; Adam (Jamie Kremer) Kamla of La Crosse, Wis., and his daughter; Amie (Brad) Hafner of Plover, Wis., two grandsons; Hendrix Kamla and Lincoln Hafner, his mother; Cornelia “Cornie” Kamla of La Crosse, Wis., one sister; Mary (Don) Stein of San Antonio, Fla., and three brothers; Michael (Sandy) Kamla of Rochester, Minn., Steven (Kat) Kamla of Onalaska, Wis., and Gregory (Joyce) Kamla of Sugarland, Tex. He is further survived by many other loving family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father Joachim “Jim” Kamla.

A funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 AM, Friday, January 29, 2016, in St. Joseph the Workman Cathedral, in the Marian Chapel, 530 Main St., La Crosse, Wis. Rev. Jeffrey Hennes will officiate with inurnment to be held in the Catholic Cemetery, La Crosse, Wis. Family and friends may call from 4:00 to 7:00 PM at Blaschke & Schneider Funeral Home, 1501 West Ave. South, La Crosse, Wis.. Family and friends may also call from 9:30 AM until the time of Mass in St. Joseph the Workman Cathedral on Friday.

Memorials are preferred to the American Heart Association.
