Judith “Judy” K. Volden, 84, of La Crosse, WI, died on Saturday June 6, 2020. She was born on July 18, 1935 to Henry and Gertrude (Cavadini) Klos in Middle Ridge, WI, She married James D. Volden in 1953 and together they resided in La Crosse. They raised five children, Roxanne (Rex) Conley, Jeffrey (Vicky) Volden, Kimberly Volden-Burgus, Mark Volden, and Michelle (Guy Summers) Hafner. There are eleven grandchildren, John, Josh and Jeremy Hutzenbuehler, Jessie (Emily) Conley, Sheena (AJ) Schulze, Amy Butterfield, Michael and Colton Volden, Megan and Matthew Hafner, and several great-grandchildren.
Judy spent 35 years working in the Emergency Room at St. Francis Hospital. After retirement she enjoyed gardening, baking, crossword puzzles, feeding and watching the birds, and was an avid Brewer and Badger fan.
She was preceded in death by her sisters MaryAnn Scanlon and Colletta (Teddy) Wais; brother Ronald (Butch) Klos; infant sister Audrey Klos; grandson Jason Butterfield; and two son-in-laws Michael Burgus and Michael Hafner.
In honor of Judy’s wishes, private family services are going to be held.
