Lavonne Madonna Grabinski

Lavonne Grabinski, a beloved mother, grandmother and cherished friend, passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 7, 2026, at the age of 95. Lavonne left behind a legacy of love, kindness and quiet strength that will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.

Lavonne was born December 2, 1930 in La Crosse, WI. She attended St. Wenceslaus and Aquinas High School. She married Virgil Grabinski on August 6, 1955. They shared three daughters, Peggy (Charles) Solano, Indianapolis, IN, Polly (Scott) Mihalovic, La Crosse, WI, Patty (Paul) Grabinski, Indianapolis, IN. Grandchildren, Mindy (Matt) Durtsch, La Crosse, WI, Mariah (Josh) Alexander, La Crosse, WI and five great grandchildren.

Family was the center of Lavonne's life. She took great pride in her role as a mother and grandmother, offering guidance, comfort and encouragement through every season of life. Her wisdom was shared softly and her presence was a source of peace and reassurance.

A visitation will be held at 9:30am and a Mass to follow at 11:00am on Thursday, February 12, 2026 at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, 130 Losey Blvd., La Crosse. Entombment will follow at the Catholic Cemetery.

Though she is no longer with us, her love remains a constant presence and a beautiful reminder of a life well lived.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be sent to Aquinas High School in honor of Lavonne.
