Marie E. (Mae) Underhill left this earthly world on November 10, 2021.

Our beloved mother is survived by her son, William (Jacqueline) Underhill, daughters, Jane (Ron) Schritz, Barbara Kneifl, Judith (Darol) DeYoung, Patricia Underhill, Carol Hansen, Theresa (Don) Gerdes, Katherine, son Gerald Underhill and a sister, Donna Ammerman.

She is also survived by her grandchildren, James, Randall, Johanne and Cynthia Grubbs; Tracey, Wendy and Brad Underhill; Bilge Raquel Miller, Jason and Jeralynn Kneifl; Garrett Paul and Gracie Johnson; Isaac and Christopher Hansen; Uriah, Nicole, Chenoah Lacey and Johnny Rae Hansen; Jon Gerdes, Ann and Amanda Sarazin and spouses.

Marie is also survived by 43 great-grandchildren and their spouses and great-nieces and nephews, dear life-long friends; God-children, Butch Malchaski and Brad Underhill.

She is preceded in death by her husband William (Bill) Sr., in 1987, daughter Mary Ann Grubbs in 2010, son Paul Michael in 1969; granddaughter Debra Grubbs, grandsons Elijah Hansen and Jordan Gerdes; her sisters Annette, Helen and Eleanor, plus her parents. Also preceding her in death are her sons-in-law Dickie Grubbs, Craig Hansen and Daniel Kneifl; also brothers-in-law and two sisters-in-law and many friends of her and Dad’s.

Our mother, our friend, you will always be missed until we all meet you again, we all love you. Mother was very proud of her family and said she had the best family in the world.

A Funeral Mass will be held at 2:30 PM on Friday, November 12, 2021, at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, 1031 Main St., Onalaska, Wis. Msgr. Steven Kachel will officiate with burial to take place in Onalaska City Cemetery. Family and friends may visit from 12:00 PM until the time of Mass at Church on Friday.
