Mary A. (Lund) Dolle, 77, of La Crosse, Wisconsin, passed away peacefully on Monday, January 12, 2026, at La Crescent Health Services in La Crescent, Minnesota. She was born on February 22, 1948, in La Crosse, the daughter of Freda and Ingvald Lund.
Mary grew up in La Crosse and graduated from Aquinas High School in 1966. She went on to earn her degree in accounting and shortly after graduation, she began her career with the Trane Company in La Crosse, where she worked faithfully until her retirement.
On December 12, 1992, Mary married the love of her life, Thomas Dolle, at St. James Church in La Crosse. The two were blessed to retire together in 2003. During their retirement years, Mary found joy in tending the garden she and Tom shared and in the simple routines of daily life. Mary took pride volunteering at St James Church and delivering Meals on Wheels. Above all, her greatest happiness came from being with Tom, they were truly inseparable.
Family and friends were always at the center of Mary's heart. When she welcomed loved ones into her home, she never viewed time as an inconvenience. She listened with genuine interest, always eager to hear about your day. She also treasured the friendships built with her neighbors and card club, looking forward to each gathering with excitement.
Mary's positive energy and friendly nature followed her everywhere she went. She would never forget a birthday, anniversary or a special moment in her family's life. For years, she would write down the highlights of each day. From the first ripe tomato of the season to what they had for dinner, she was documenting what was important to her.
Mary is survived by her Brother-in-law Lawrence (Jennifer) Dolle, Sister-in-Law Louise (Dewey) Adams and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, stepfather Ludwig Kreis, and her husband Thomas Dolle.
Visitation will be held on Friday, January 23, 2026 from 9-10:00am, at St. Joseph Cathedral, 503 Main Street, La Crosse. A Mass of the Resurrection will be at 10:00am. Burial will immediately follow at French Island Cemetery.
The family extends heartfelt gratitude to the staff of La Crescent Health Services for their compassion and care during Mary's final days.
May Mary's memory brings comfort and peace to all who knew and loved her.
