SEELIG, Max â€œMikeâ€Michael
Max â€œMikeâ€ Michael Seelig, 56, of Onalaska, Wis., died Thursday, March 13, 2014, surrounded by his loved ones in La Crosse, Wis. He was born in Madison, Wis., on Feb. 22, 1958, to Max and Yvonne (Bagley) Seelig. He married Sherri Ledman May 8, 1976, in Our Saviorâ€™s Lutheran Church, West Salem, Wis.
He served our country as a MP (Military Police) in the US Marine Corps. Mike also lived in Kansas for part of his life and has many friends that he loved hunting and fishing and being outdoors with. He loved his family a great deal, and being with them.
He is survived by the love of his life and Angel; Sherri Seelig of La Crosse, Wis., two daughters; Elizabeth Seelig of La Crosse, Wis., and Nicole Seelig-Sheehan of La Crosse, Wis., three grandchildren; Christian, Chloe Seelig, and Shealynn Sheehan. He is further survived by one sister; Melissa (Norman) Webster of Altamont, Kansas, Steve (Jennifer) Seelig of El Dorado, Kansas.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, March 22, 2014, in the Blaschke Schneider Funeral Home-Nelson Chapel, 1007 Caledonia St., La Crosse, Wis. Rev. Andrew Schultz will officiate. Military Rites will be held following services at the funeral home on Saturday by the Thomas Rooney VFW Post 1530. Family and friends may call from 10:00 AM until the time of services in the Nelson Chapel on Saturday.
