Darlene D. Page (nee Peaslee) 78, passed away on Thursday, June 26, 2013. It was Darlene`s loving family which sustained her through the difficult last months of her life.

Darlene was born on March 2, 1935 to Margaret and William Peaslee and attended Onalaska High School. She became a member of St. James Catholic Church after meeting her husband John and getting married on June 13, 1953, they went on to enjoy over 50 years of life together.

After her family, Darlene had a true love for camping trips and her two dogs, Kitt and Little Bear.

Darlene is survived her children, Marlene (Lynn) Duckworth of La Crosse, Terri Lee of Holmen, Wis., Dave (Karen) Page of McFarland, Wis., Mary (Ric) Halama of Independence, Wis., Mike (Kim) Page of Melrose, Wis., Rose Rosenbaum of Ferryville, Wis., and Jim (Angie) Page of Onalaska, Wis.; her grandchildren, Brian, Justin, Kristi, Nathan, David, Kari, Cory, Greg, Kim, Roxy, Chelle, Becky, Morgan, Megan, Sommer, Brandon, Alison, Jake, Brandon, Tyler, Sam, Noah and Tim; her great grandchildren, Devon, Preston, Parker, Johnathon, Ben, Grace, Briana, Braydon, Cecilia, Savanah, Daisha, Logan, Jaden, Kiara, Garret, Helen, Elayna, Dorian, Claraissa, Amylia, Sophie and Angie.

Darlene was preceded in death by her loving husband John, her parents Margaret and Bill, a favorite son in law, Dennis Rosenbaum, a granddaughter, Carrie Olson and several brothers and sisters.

“Bathed in the glow of the afterlife,

She smiled as she raised up her head,

And gazed on the face of her husband,

Who stood waiting beside her bed,”

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, July 1, 2013, in St. James the Less Catholic Church, 1032 Caledonia St., La Crosse, Wis. Rev. Robert Schaller will officiate, with entombment to be in St. Francis of Assissi Mausoleum in the Catholic Cemetery. Friends and family may call at the Blaschke Funeral Home-Nelson Chapel, 1007 Caledonia St., La Crosse, Wis. on Sunday from 4 to 7 p.m. Friends and family may also call at the church on Thursday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of Mass.

Dear God, please receive our Mother, Wife, Grandmother and Sister into Your loving arms. While we will miss her in our daily lives, her compassion, love and honesty will live in our hearts forever and we can take solace knowing she has received her eternal reward at Your side. In Your name we pray.
