Randy “Hoppy†Hopkins, 62, passed away unexpectedly at his home on French Island, Wednesday, January 13, 2016.
Randy was born on February 18, 1953, in La Crosse, Wis., to Marion and Jerold “Hoppy†Hopkins. He was a life-long resident of French Island. He and his father built his home some 35 years ago. As a career machinist, Randy retired from the Tool and Die trade some years ago to become a landlord on his beloved Island. He was well-known as being stubborn but soft as a teddy bear.
Randy is survived by his son Jerold “Jerry†Hopkins, his sister; Ginger Hopkins Jentz, aunts; Wilma Ambuehl and Maggie Zumach, aunt and uncle; Janet and Donald Hopkins, and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Vicki.
A farewell party will be held at the Robins Nest, 328 Goddard St., on Saturday January 16, 2016, from 3 to 5:00 PM.
Randy will be greatly missed by his family and all of his friends.
