Richard Moran

Richard L. Moran, 85, of La Crosse, WI,  died on Sunday, August 21, 2022, at Mayo Health System - Franciscan Medical Center in La Crosse.

Richard was born on Thursday, September 10, 1936, in Winona, MN to Lloyd and Ruth (Faas) Moran. He was raised in Adams-Friendship, WI and graduated from Adams-Friendship High School. On June 30, 1962, Richard was united in marriage with Lois "Sue" Nickerson. He served in the U.S. Army and worked as a carpenter in La Crosse for most of his career. Richard enjoyed building and remodeling his family’s homes. He always had a smile on his face and made it a priority to follow his grandchildren's sporting events and activities. Richard adored his family and was a huge Green Bay Packers fan.

Richard is survived by his children; Todd Moran, Wendy (Lyle) Felten, Scott (Melissa) Moran, Greg (Corri) Moran, and Doug Moran; twelve grandchildren: Chayne, Chantel, Ashley, Katelyn, Megan, Zach, Devin, Chase, Dustin, Regan, Lauren, and Rachel; ten great-grandchildren; and two brothers: Mike and Jim Moran.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife and several brothers and a sister.

There will be a Celebration of Life for Richard at 1:00 PM, on October 29, 2022, at Blaschke and Schneider Funeral Home, 1501 West Avenue South, La Crosse. Family and friends may visit from 12:00 PM until the Celebration of Life, at the Funeral Home, on October 29, 2022.
