Robert L. Moore (Bob) passed away peacefully on March 24, 2015 at Reflections of Northfield, MN. Born September 30, 1929 in Cashton, WI, Bob spent his early years in rural Wisconsin during the depression. He graduated from Cashton High School in 1948. As a trombonist in the high school band he developed a love of classical music that followed him all his life.

Bob enlisted in the United States Air Force in 1950. He served 4 years as a Medic and was stationed at Elmendorf Air Force Base in Anchorage, Alaska, during the Korean War. He achieved the rank of Staff Sargent and was honorably discharged with a Good Conduct medal and a National Defense Service medal.

Bob’s twenty year marriage to Ruby Engum began in 1955. They had 4 children: Frederick, Matthew, Roberta and Rebecca. The family enjoyed summers at their cabin on Castle Rock Lake, WI.

Bob received his Associates Degree in Mortuary Science from the University of Wisconsin in 1956. Throughout his career as a Funeral Director he provided service and comfort to many families in Eau Claire, WI, Red Wing, MN, and La Crosse, WI.

Bob also worked at Rowley’s Office Supply and La Crosse Beauty Supply. He also owned and operated two hair salons while married to his second wife, Pamela Riniker.

Bob was a long time resident of Onalaska, WI, who enjoyed boating and was an avid Packer Fan. His sparkling blue eyes and quick sense of humor will be missed by many.

Robert is survived by his sister Bette Peterson of Arizona ; his children: Frederick (Nantaya Karnjana) Moore of Madison, WI, Matthew ( Patti Echols) Moore of Minneapolis and his daughter Roberta Moore of Apple Valley, MN; and his 4 grandchildren, Jaidee Moore, of Houston, Texas, Katherine Echols-Moore, of Minneapolis, Jinda Moore, of Madison, WI, and Torin Echols-Moore, of Minneapolis.

He is preceded in death by many relatives including his parents, his first wife Ruby, his brother Richard Moore, and daughter Rebecca.

Services for a celebration of his life will be planned in the near future at Blaschke Schneider Funeral Home, in La Crosse, WI.
