Ronald F. Faas, 75, of La Crosse, died July 24, 2014 at Gundersen Lutheran Medical Center. He was born in La Crosse to Leo and Hattie (Arndt) Faas. Ronald Married Kathleen Derouin on October 3, 1976 at the Cathedral of St. Joseph the Workman Catholic Church.
Ronald was a great person that always had other people in mind and always found the best in people. He loved golfing with his friends especially his best friend Phil Murray.
He is survived by his wife Kathleen; one brother Warren Faas; his mother-in-law Lorraine Derouin; and three sisters-in-law Patricia Kendhammer, Jeanine (Tom) Kendhammer, and Joann Derouin. He is also survived by one niece, five nephews, four great nephews, his dog Pungkin and his cat Tabetha.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother-in-law Peter Kendhammer, one nephew Dennis, and a niece Diane.
The family would like to thank everyone at the Onalaska Care Center for the time Ron spent there and the Gundersen Health Care System for his last days on the 6th floor. They would also like to thank Western Wisconsin Cares and the Dental Group at the office of J. Moore for the vibrating chair that Ron appreciated.
Friends and family may call from 5 to 8:00 PM on Tuesday July 29, 2014, at Blaschke & Schneider Funeral Home, 1501 West Ave. S., La Crosse, Wis., with a prayer service at 7:45 PM. 1032 Caledonia St, La Crosse, Rev. Robert Schaller will officiate. Military Honors will be performed by the Roy L. Vingers Post No. 52 immediately after Mass at Church with lunch to follow in Murphy Hall at Church.
