TUMA, Ronald F.

Ronald ‘Ron’ F. Tuma died Wednesday, March 12, 2014, at his home. He was born on August 13, 1942 to Albert and Dorothy (Eggers) Tuma. He married and divorced Leona McCarty and later married Joy Blair.

Ron enjoyed bowling, golfing, and volunteering at the hospital. He also enjoyed spending time with his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife Joy Tuma of La Crosse, 1 Son; Brett (Fiancé Nanette) Tuma of Chetek, WI, 1 Step-son; Steve (Sue) Hildahl, of La Crosse, 1 Step-daughter; Julie Hildahl of La Crosse. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren; Daniel (Fiancé Anna) Tuma, Shane Tuma, Morgan Tuma, and Colin Tuma, Blair (Joni) Hildahl, and Blake (Jen) Hildahl, and Jennifer (Steve) Shimshak, 2 Great-Grandchildren Delia Tuma, and Quinn Hildahl; sister Beverly Potaracke.

Ronald is preceded in death by his parents, 1 Brother; Richard ‘Dick’ Tuma, and 1 Sister; Shirley Pintz.

A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 AM, Saturday March 15, 2014 at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church 130 Losey Blvd, La Crosse, WI, Rev. Peter Raj will officiate with burial to be held at a later date. Family and friends may call on Friday, March 14, 2014, from 4:00 to 7:00 PM at Blaschke & Schneider Funeral Homes, 1501 West Ave. So., La Crosse, WI. Family and friends may also call from 9:30 AM at Church until the time of Mass on Saturday.

Memorials are preferred to American Lung Association, Mayo Clinic Pulmonary Division, or a charity of choice.
