Rosemary Julia (Moser) Peters, 92, of LaCrosse, Wisconsin, passed away peacefully in her sleep, on Wednesday, March 21, 2018, at her home. She was born on March 6, 1926, to Frederick and Barbara (Gundrum) Moser, in Washington County, Wisconsin.

Rosemary enjoyed a happy and fulfilling childhood with her loving family on their farm near St Lawrence, Wisconsin. She graduated 8th Grade from St Lawrence School. At age 14 she had the opportunity to work for a family in West Bend, Wisconsin, and throughout her lifetime worked at Amity Leather Company, the West Bend Aluminum Company, the Eden Canning Factory and Northern Engraving. Rosemary met the love of her life, Frederick E Peters, on New Years Eve, ringing in 1942, and married him in 1947. They went on to have 8 children, who were her pride and joy. Her family was everything to her and she devoted her life to them.

Rosie and Fred met at a dance and dancing remained an important part of their life, including membership in the Happy Twirlers Square Dance Club. They enjoyed polka dancing throughout their lives together. Rosie spent many hours playing the accordion, harmonica, organ, and singing with her family. Sharing her love for music and yodeling continues to influence several generations and their love for music and the arts. Rosie was her name and rosy was her outlook. She was sassy and fun with a great sense of humor. We will miss her smile, her funloving attitude, and the love and joy she brought to all of us. Rosemary was a selfless and very giving person who made everyone feel welcome. She was a devout Catholic her entire life and was a proud member of St. Thomas Aquinas Seminary Parish in Winona, Minnesota.
