Sally L. Pagel, Age 79 of Waunakee, WI passed away on February 25, 2016. Sally was born in Lake Geneva, WI, the daughter of Roy and Grace Osborne.

Sally grew up in Delevan WI, graduated in 1956. As a youngster she traveled all over the united states with her family and enjoyed the outdoors and wildlife. In High School her interests included band, Drum Major, Baton Twirler with and without Fire, Ballet Dancer and horses. In 1968 she married Norman Pagel and moved to the Madison area where she owned and operated a restaurant/bar for several years. Sally settled in Waunakee Wisconsin where she raised her two children. She enjoyed volunteering as a chaperone for the Waunakee High School Band during the mid to late 1980’s. Sally worked several years for the Wisconsin DOT and in 1985 she started working for the WI Department of Emergency Management where she retired from in April of 2011. Sally enjoyed watching movies, taking care of her cats, and finding good deals at the thrift stores.

Sally is survived by her children Sandy (Kris Clough) Pagel, Jeffrey (Emily) Pagel, grandchildren Cameron, Keegan & Carson Pagel and nephews Jim and Brian Osborne. Sally was preceded in death by her husband Norman Pagel and her brother William Osborne.

The family would like to give a special thanks to the staff of Hillview Healthcare Center in La Crosee, WI. Your professionalism, kind words and caring actions were greatly appreciated through her brief stay.

In lieu of flowers, please send memorials to Dane County Friends of Feral or your local no kill animal shelter/rescue. A visitation for friends and family will be held Thursday March 3rd from 4 p.m. – 7 p.m. at the Winn Cress Funeral Home in Waunakee. A private service will be held for family on Friday March 4th in La Crosse, WI.
