Thomas J. Quinn, passed away July 2, 2026.
Born December 2, 1947, in La Crosse, he was a son of the late Marvin L. and Elsie M. (Thomas) Quinn.
He graduated from Central High School-Class of 1965, and went on to the University of Wisconsin, receiving a bachelor's and master's degree, including highest honors.
Mr. Quinn was a United Sates Army (RA) Vietnam-era veteran, serving from 1967-1970. He was honorably discharged as a Sergeant.
He married Kathryn Larsen, at the Cathedral Church, in La Crosse, on December 28, 1968. They were married for almost 58 yrs.
Tom was the proud father to Torey Bryan Quinn, born in Nuremberg, Germany on March 26, 1970. He was the father that never missed one football game while his son actively played.
He was active in the Cub Scouts, and served as Leader, and Campaign Treasurer. Tom was an avid 4-wheel racer and often a winner in the Midwest. He served as Treasurer of River City 4 Wheelers. The family and friends loved club trail rides. He was a boat owner and water skier, Karaoke singer, snowmobile trailer rider, member of AICPA, and the Jaycees. He was also a teacher to many children that wanted to learn water skiing.
Tom was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Gary; sister, Judith, and many aunts and uncles and their children. He was also, preceded by his best-friends, Jeff Beissel, Brian Lokken and Richard Kurz.
He is survived by his wife, his son; brother-in-law, Daniel Larsen, best-friend, James Howarth, Jr., as well as many nieces, nephews, and was great-uncle to their children, many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
